5 Best Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner

5 Best Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner by Jessica Willis 5: You're Just Too Busy Do you have a job that requires a lot of your time? Or do you just have a lot on your plate in general? A wedding planner will help you schedule meetings with vendors (or even attend the meetings for you!), pick out linens and invitations, and take care of the other tasks that you just don't have time for. Since wedding planners are professionals, they know the industry much better than the average person. With that in mind, they know exactly where to go to get the services and products that you want, which will cut down on the time you spend searching for what you like. 4: Your Wedding Is Out of Town Hiring a wedding planner is a great idea for brides who are having an out of town wedding , whether it's in a different city or country. If you're miles or time zones away from the location, it'll be helpful to hire someone who's familiar with the area as well as local ven

Winter Wedding

Now that Winter is just around the corner, if you're planning a Winter Wedding, consider special lighting to pull off your "Winter Theme" or look. This bride went with all white flowers with white branches and a little pearl incorporated into her centerpieces, while adding some blue tone lights to create that wintery feel.

Chuppah Set Up

Chuppah set up for Jewish cermonies can be a tricky thing. Because there are so many different looks to a chuppah your rental company may not entirely understand what you're wanting to achieve unless specific pcitures and words are used to describe your vision. And even that isn't always enough! Some are draped in cloth with special uplighting, others are simple with pole covers around 4 poles and a tallit (cloth) providing the canopy. When it comes to a chuppah covered with draping, make sure your rental company knows that no poles are to show. Unfortunately for one of my clients, the rental company had a hard time envisioning completely covered poles, even after pcitures were given to them. Also, most if not all chuppahs are to have 3 or all 4 sides open depending on the style, since both sets of parents are typically under the chuppah and the bridal party stands during the ceremony.  Here is a before picture showing incorrect set up and a picture taken (of one corner) af

Megan + Andrew

Happy late summer everyone! Can't believe this season is almost behind us. We've had some lovely weddings this summer, even those that fell on the weekends where the heat index was 110! I thought I'd share this delightful wedding that took place at Glendale Lyceum and was photographed by the very talented Geri Ciulla . The bride and her mom added some neat handcrafted details that really stood out. They provided potted plants for the centerpieces that they potted themselves, which looked lovely on the pink pintuck overlays that they had on each table. For the table names, the bride used pictures of special places she and her groom had gone with the location name printed on each picture. The bride and groom's seats were labeled with embroidered banners signifying where the Dr. and Mrs. were sitting!   The room had a very light and airy feel, especially with the paper lanterns suspended from the ceiling and the handmade pom poms dispersed throughout the room.
