·         Determine your table needs. From your guest list to the style of your decor, determining your table’s needs is crucial in planning your linens. Your guest list lets you know just how many table linens you will need, but, it is also important that you do not forget to include your cake table, Mr. and Mrs. table or any other special display tables that you will have at your big day. Your table styles will also determine the type of linens you will need, as the long banquet tables will require much different linens than the round cake table. So, count the number of linens and the shapes that you will need to make sure that each table is beautifully covered.
·         Pick your colors. There is no right or wrong approach to take when choosing your linen colors. Overall, this is your big day, and you can decorate it any way that you would like. Whether you are bringing elements of your theme into your table linens, or contrasting your overall wedding colors, it is important that you make a decision so that you can begin ordering your linens. You can bring a taste of the season to your venue with linens in deep red and orange hues for Fall, fresh pastel colors for Spring and white for Winter. There are numerous possibilities, so finding the one that makes you and your partner happy is what is most important.
·         Try something new. Sometimes new can be scary, especially on such an important day, but it can’t hurt to look. You could be pleasantly surprised as you come across a linen that you did not even know existed, so do not be afraid to ask around or look online for a little inspiration. You could come up with a linen choice that, looking back later on, was unthinkable to not have, so you never know what you may discover.

There are numerous linen options for you to choose from for your big day, and choosing the linens that you feel will bring your wedding to its full potential is crucial. Here at I Thee Wed, we are passionate about bringing your wedding visions to life. There's probably a lot of confusion amongst engaged couples because of the term "day-of" coordinator. If you end up speaking to someone who says they will only show up on the wedding day and save you lots of money because of it, please stay clear of them! Instead, they have to wait until they walk through their venue doors to receive some coordination by their venue coordinator or banquet captain, who's primary responsibility is to the get the meal out on time and at an ideal temperature.
